Looking for a new cookie to add to your holiday baking this year?
I’ve had this Chewy Oatmeal Cranberry Cookie recipe in my recipe box for years and it’s always a hit. You should probably give it a try. 😉
Where do you usually wrap all of your Christmas presents?
I typically clear off the coffee table and do my wrapping in the living room, with rolls of paper and ribbons and tags scattered all around me on the floor. But this year I thought I’d try something new and moved my wrapping supplies into my little home office.
When one of your best friends flies in for the weekend from D.C. and you find yourselves on the couch, in your pjs, gabbing away by eight o’clock every night it can only mean one of two things:
A) You’re getting old
or
B) You’re living room is feeling too cozy this Christmas to be bothered to leave.
I’m guessing it’s option “A”, but I’d much rather like to think a little bit of “B” played a factor too.
Hi guys!
I had a few inquiries today about where one may find the beautiful art print from my earlier post. Unfortunately, they are not available online, but I did reach out to my friend Janet (shop owner of Lucky Junk) and if you are interested in purchasing a print of your own she would be more than happy to order for you. Yay! 😀
Happy Monday!
I had an entirely different mantel set up this Christmas season, and then I visited a holiday pop-up shop hosted by Lucky Junk over the weekend and fell in love with the most perfect piece of Christmas art. It was so very in tune with the rustic, woodland vibe I had going on this year that I just had to bring it home.
You know how that goes, right?
It’s been quite the week. I have a girlfriend coming in to visit for the weekend so I’ve been super busy trying to get the rest of the house decorated and cleaned up before she arrives. I’m going to do my best to get the rest photographed and ready for posts for next week, but until then I thought I’d share the quick and easy way I dressed up the staircase this season.
I tried something new last year and brought out less “Christmas” stuff and opted instead to use some of my favorite everyday things with just a little Christmas sprinkled in.
Such an eye-opener.
Not only was my decorating time cut in half, but I ended up with a look that was a little less cluttered, yet still festive and cozy. Not to mention, the take-down was an absolute breeze.
I loved the simplified look from last year so much that I embraced the same thought again this year.
It’s been one of those weeks.
The kind of week that is filled with long work days, and long commutes home, and appointments that were cancelled and rescheduled and cancelled again, and rainy weather, and the sudden realization that you have a whole lotta stuff to get done in just a short amount of time.
Reality never slowly creeps in, does it? It prefers to just bomb you with all the stress at once instead.
But that’s why we have lazy weekend mornings – for coffee and quiet and the chance to just be.
And do a little blogging. 😉
