Y’all, Mother Nature is not playing nice.
Not nice at all.
She’s been teasing us.
We have had not one, not two, but three – and counting – days in a row of sunshine and temps nearing 70 degrees.
70 degrees and sunshine.
In February.
What?!?!
One nice day in the middle of winter and it’s a fluke. One right after another and you start to get used to it. You start to think it’s here to stay. You start to put away your winter coat and the heavy boots and hide away the snow shovel. You start to think about planting flowers and busting out the flip flops and digging deep into the corners and scrubbing the baseboards and washing the walls and making the windows sparkle and shine.
You start to think it’s spring.
Except it isn’t.
It’s still very much winter and Mother Nature is just teasing us with a taste of spring – something that is surely not going to arrive for good for at least another month or two.
Regardless, the recent run of warm weather has me thinking all things spring cleaning and feeling like I need to get this house organized.
Can I tell you a secret?
Behind every closet and/or cupboard door, drawer, and basket in this house is a total and complete mess. Absolute chaos.
I can’t stand to look at “stuff” everywhere, but if I can hide it and forget about it – boy do I take full advantage of that. And I mean full advantage.
Some day I would like for that to change, but…you know…it takes a lot of work. And a lot of time. And a lot of patience. And I always seem to manage to find something “better” to do (i.e. binge watching something on Netflix or browsing the latest Pottery Barn catalog for the 116th time). Priorities, people! 🙂
Maybe these super pretty and super organized spaces will help get me motivated. It’s worth a shot, right?
We always have a zillion pairs of boots (mostly concrete and mud caked – thanks, J!) laying around by the back door. I am loving this idea.
The most amazing and beautiful pantry. Ever.
Serious linen closet goals.
Love the simplicity of this. Absolutely love it.
Organized entryways get me every time.
Dear husband, I would like a she-shed. And I want it to look just like this.
This makes me want to give a little extra love and attention to those bookshelves in my living room.
Wicker and white dishes – you can’t ever go wrong with that combo.
I do my laundry in a dark, dirty and damp basement so this is an absolute dream.
Cute and clever – I love this idea for over the stove.
I’m not sure what I love more – the rows of organized jars or the worn floors and that wood box holding the bread boards.

I really like the shelves over the stove. That would look great in your kitchen.

I love that look too, Julie!

I love all these organizing ideas especially the entry way where the chalk board says send Mom flowers!! Seriously I couldn’t pick just one, but I could see any of these in your home.
Tonya says
I wish I could have all of them in my home!
