What is it that makes a Christmas tree so magical?
Is it the lights?
The decoration?
The tradition?
The memories?
For me it’s a little bit of all of these things, but that last one is the one that gets me the most.
The memories.
I always like to display the Christmas cards we receive each year. We’re a long way from home, so being able to get a glance at the greetings from our most loved friends and family adds an extra dose of warmth to our home during the holiday season.
I was initially going to use one of my dough bowls to stack them as they came in, but I decided to fill that with greens and ornaments instead, so I had to come up with another solution.
I love snow in December.
Right now – as I type this – it’s snowing and snowing and snowing.
Everything is covered in a beautiful blanket of white outside, and inside it feels so cozy with the twinkle lights, and candlelight, and Christmas plaid.
It really is like the most perfect day.
Ask me how I feel when we have a day like this in March and I may sing a different tune.
But today?
Today I wouldn’t change a thing.
I don’t normally post on Sundays, but since I’m feeling so festive and Christmas-y watching that snow come down, I thought I’d go ahead get my tour up a little early.
