Happy Friday!
Long time, no chat! π So you probably noticed by now that I took a little break over the last couple of weeks. I wish I could tell you it was because I have been busy working home makeover magic, but in reality I think I was just a little burnt out. Between working full time, my new work schedule, and trying to build this blog over the last year, I was feeling tired, uninspired, and even a little defeated – I set some pretty ambitious goals for myself with this blog this year, and heading into May, I realized I’m not likely to meet them. I may not even come close. But you know what? Who cares! I’m just going to keep doing my thing and I’ll hit those goals when I hit them. We have enough deadlines in life, right? π
So with that, I also decided I’m no longer going to hold myself to a Monday-Wednesday-Friday blog schedule. I’m no longer going to hold myself to a schedule period. Some weeks you may be hearing from me three times, some weeks once, and then some weeks not at all. I’m a person who is most comfortable with routine, so we’ll see how this goes, but I feel like it will help me keep this hobby-job of mine fun and not so stressful. I hope you don’t mind. π
I started to put together this World Market post before I shut the computer off and walked away for a couple of weeks – which was pretty awesome by the way… I read like three books and watched an entire movie with undivided attention (Brooklyn for those interested – loved it!)… You all know I love shopping and love seeing what’s out there for the latest and greatest in home dΓ©cor – and I know a lot of you do as well – so here are some of my favorites spied from a recent trip through World Market (one of my faves!), I’m just going to say those little rustic metal hurricanes are calling my name and I may need to go back and grab a couple.
Chandelier / Tray / Hurricane / Runner / Rug / Frame / Pillow / Pedestal Stand / Copper Pot / Metal Barrel
So much greatness to be found at that store – I get into trouble there often. π What about you? Are you a World Market junkie too?
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

I am glad you took the time you needed, no one needs that added stress, this should be fun and you get enjoyment out of it, especially because it is something you like doing and are very good at it as well. And also I know I love reading your blogs when ever you post them, I just wish I had some of those stores near me so I could take advantage of them, second thought maybe it is a good thing I don’t!! I will be patiently waiting to see what you post next!!

You don’t even need the stores – that’s what online shopping is for lol. π

I’m just so glad to hear that you are ok. I totally agree with Wendy & Sally’s comments.
But I have to say that if I had a World Market to go to, that pillow would definitely be in my home right now.!! I would love to take a close up look at that rug too.
Have a beautiful day π

I’m not going to lie, Min – I totally brought that pillow home lol! π

I am retired, not because I want to be, so I read blogs for the fun of it. I don’t care if the blogs I read make money but I do care if they are fun to read. So good for you! You have a wonderful weekend too!
Tonya says
I do hope this blog has been and continues to be fun to read – and I try to remember that if I’m not having fun, then my readers aren’t likely to have fun either. Thanks, Wendy! π
Sally says
Good for you for taking a much needed break. If it’s not fun and full of stress and deadlines, where is the joy? You just find what works for you….you’ll be fine and so will your blog. Take care of yourself. Remember what the flight attendants say before a flight takes off, put your oxygen mask on first! Have a wonderful weekend.

Thank you, Sally. I have to remind myself frequently, but we only get so many hours in a day and it’s all about balance. I’ll figure out what works best for me eventually! π
