10 Beautiful Black and White Rugs

I have been a little obsessed with rug shopping lately.  For some reason, I keep finding myself online browsing site after site in search of the perfect rug.

What exactly does the perfect rug look like, you ask?

Umm…I have no idea!

But I seem to keep finding myself drawn to black and white – or more often, black and natural – rugs.

SUMMER READING

SUMMER READING

I don’t know about you, but I’m always in the mood for a good book recommendation. I am never not reading a book – as soon as I finish one I immediately dive into another, so I always like to have an idea of what I want to read next.

As if you couldn’t tell by the large wall of books behind our couch. 😉

WHO KNEW AN OLD SHREDDER COULD BE SO CUTE?

WHO KNEW AN OLD SHREDDER COULD BE SO CUTE?

Good Morning!

Did you all have a nice weekend? Ours was busy, but somehow relaxing at the same time. We braved the freezing temps (I swear my calendar says it’s May, but this feels like March weather) bright and early Sunday morning for a trip to the flea market – after getting home around midnight the night before, mind you.  We take our flea marketing pretty seriously 😉

Sadly there were not many treasures to be found. Jordan snagged a few tools and I found a cute copper pie plate looking dish (I think that’s what it is, I really have no idea) and that was all. Oh well, sometimes that’s just how it goes, you know?

Chalk Painted Herb Planters

Hello friends!

I’ve never been much of a green thumb, but I’ve managed to keep my little fiddle leaf tree alive for a couple months, so I like to think that maybe I’m learning a thing or two.

And with the fiddle leaf still alive and well, I thought I’d take a shot at growing some herbs next. I like the idea of having a few of the staples on hand – I don’t know about you, but the majority of any herbs I buy from the grocery store always end up going to waste before I can use them up.

Ten Fun Finds – World Market

Ten Fun Finds – World Market

Happy Friday!

Long time, no chat! 🙂  So you probably noticed by now that I took a little break over the last couple of weeks.  I wish I could tell you it was because I have been busy working home makeover magic, but in reality I think I was just a little burnt out.  Between working full time, my new work schedule, and trying to build this blog over the last year, I was feeling tired, uninspired, and even a little defeated – I set some pretty ambitious goals for myself with this blog this year, and heading into May, I realized I’m not likely to meet them.  I may not even come close. But you know what?  Who cares! I’m just going to keep doing my thing and I’ll hit those goals when I hit them.  We have enough deadlines in life, right? 🙂
