Happy (late) Monday!!
We had such a great time last week in Michigan, I was so sad to see our trip end. I find myself homesick from time to time, but this time of year is the definitely the hardest. There’s just nothing like being surrounded by your family and closest friends during the holidays.
We decided to get our Christmas tree while we were there, so after our nearly eight hour drive home yesterday, I armed myself with a hot cup of coffee and an endless supply of Christmas music and got to work. The tree is now trimmed and our halls are officially decked…mostly...
I have the biggest holiday decorating plans every year, and I inevitably lose steam or don’t have what I want/need to make my vision come to life. This year, rather than run around to every store, I decided to consider it “good enough” so I can just relax and enjoy the season from this point forward. I’d rather spend my time baking gingerbread, wrapping pretty presents and watching cheesy Christmas movies snuggled up with my favorite guy, over worrying about every corner of my house looking picture perfect. Ok, so the odds of me getting Jordan to snuggle up and watch a Christmas movie are slim to none, but a girl can dream, right? 🙂 This also means I may not be posting as much over the next few weeks.
