I am beginning to realize that this bedroom makeover will probably take some time. More time than I really thought it would. I’m happy with how it’s progressing, but I can see that it may be a while before I consider it “finished”. If I can ever really consider it finished, that is – it’s not really a concept I’m familiar with when it comes to our home – but I kind of like it that way. Our spaces are always evolving. 🙂

Don’t be mad – I know we still have a few weeks of summer left, but I can’t help it. I love everything fall. I am ready for crisp mornings, cool nights, cozy sweaters and cute boots. I can practically smell the pumpkin spice in the air already. 🙂

I started looking around on the internet last night for a new floor lamp for the bedroom. I loooove shopping for new lighting. Of course, I kept getting distracted by all the beautiful ceiling fixtures out there, but I’m not in the market for that right now. Or am I…? Hmmm…maybe I could keep a constant rotation of chandeliers to change it up for the seasons like I do pillow covers? Just kidding. But kind of not. 🙂
When I ordered our new sectional, one of the main things I hoped it would help me accomplish would be to get the doorway that leads to the kitchen opened back up (you can read more about that here). It was closed off by the previous owner – and I totally understand why. This room is long, and very narrow, and the fireplace is oddly placed off center. Good Morning!
Is it hot where you are?? Because it was an incredibly hot weekend here in Chicago. I mostly hid indoors with the comfort of the AC and spent the last two days moving furniture around. So… I have a lot of projects hanging out there that are in various stages. Some are close to being done, some are coming along nicely, and others are just in the beginning stages.
